Sunday 090809

"Tabata Something Else"

Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.

  1. uh ... this was brutal ... also difficult to keep track of the time, record your reps, and keep in the 20/10 windows by yourself.

    pullups - 15, 10, 10, 7, 6, 5, 6, 4 = 63
    pushups - 22, 20, 12, 10, 6, 8 7, 8 = 93
    situps - 15, 18, 16, 16, 15, 14, 16, 14 = 124
    squats - 20, 17, 17, 19, 15, 16, 16, 14 = 134

    total = 414

    all outside. about 112 or so. nasty.

  2. i did it inside...and still felt it was brutal. i wanted to vomit at the squats. i used the countdown timer on my watch which worked pretty well. i think i got a few extra seconds of rest every interval.

    pullups (no kips, last 2 assisted) - 12,7,6,6,4,4,6,6 = 51
    pushups - 22,21,18,12,9,7,7,7 = 103
    situps - 13,17,17,14,13,13,12,11 = 110
    squats - 19,19,19,18,18,16,17,17 = 143

    total = 407
